The Investment Administrator will have responsibility for all administration involved in the provision of investment management services to clients.

Personal profileLikely to demonstrate over 5 years’ experience within the Investment Management industry. Must enjoy working as part of a team and be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of administering client portfolios within a variety of structures. Should be able to demonstrate a knowledge of all asset types and the requirements of client onboarding, record keeping and asset transfers. Must have strong communication skills and be able to enjoy a rapport with clients and intermediaries.

Key responsibilities

Client administration

  • Working with team members to prepare all client documentation as required for client onboarding and meetings
  • Set up and maintain all client files and records
  • Transfer client assets as required and process all payments
  • Maintain ‘Know Your Client information’ within a CRM database
  • Maintain accurate and compliant client files
  • Enjoy a close working relationship with team members, clients and their other advisors
  • To liaise with ‘back office’ departments on behalf of the investment team
  • Ensure all operations affecting their clients are carried our in accordance within FCA rules and the internal investment management framework
  • Ensure clients are treated fairly by knowing the customer and giving suitable advice, providing an appropriate level of service and communicating clearly
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills

  • Enjoy a rapport with clients and intermediaries

Business support

  • Work with colleagues from all departments to develop and maintain business processes and ensure investment management within the internal framework specified
